About Hawthorn Lodge Counselling
I believe that everyone deserves a safe, supportive space where they can explore their thoughts, feelings and experiences without judgement.
Life can sometimes feel overwhelming, leaving us feeling stuck, disconnected or unsure of how to move forward. Whatever has brought you here, I am committed to providing compassionate, collaborative counselling tailored to your individual needs.
As an integrative counsellor, I recognise that no two people are the same. Rather than following a single therapeutic approach, I draw on a range of evidence-based approaches to ensure therapy is shaped around you, your experiences and your goals.
My aim is simple: to help you feel heard, understood and empowered to find your own way forward.
Hi, I'm Victoria.
Therapist & Director
I am a qualified Integrative Counsellor and Psychotherapist with experience supporting adults, children and young people across private practice, education and charitable organisations.
Before establishing Hawthorn Lodge Counselling, I worked and volunteered within a variety of educational settings, providing therapeutic support to both students and staff. This experience has given me valuable insight into the unique challenges faced by individuals at different stages of life and strengthened my passion for making counselling accessible to people when they need it most.
Alongside private practice, I continue to work within education and community settings, supporting emotional wellbeing through compassionate, person-centred care.

Our Approach
I believe that the relationship between therapist and client is at the heart of meaningful change.
Research consistently shows that feeling safe, understood and connected within therapy plays a significant role in positive outcomes. This belief is reflected in everything I do.
I'll work collaboratively with you, taking time to understand your experiences, your strengths and the challenges you're facing. Together, we'll explore what feels right for you, helping you move towards greater self-awareness, resilience and emotional wellbeing.
Whether you're navigating anxiety, loss, relationship difficulties, low self-esteem or major life changes, I'll support you at a pace that feels comfortable.
The Importance of Connection
As part of my postgraduate studies, I explored resilience and the factors that influence our mental wellbeing. Through this research, I developed a deeper understanding of the powerful role that human connection and supportive relationships play in helping people overcome life's challenges. This philosophy continues to shape the way I work today.
Connection and care are the cornerstones of Hawthorn Lodge Counselling. By creating a warm, trusting and authentic therapeutic relationship, I aim to provide a space where healing, growth and lasting change can take place.
